  Apple/Mac — Place holder for text about providing Apple/Mac workstations to Library staff.
• Page:
  Bar codes for books — UCLA Library Digital Initiatives and Information Technology (DIIT) provides single and double barcodes for books to UCLA Library units upon request. DIIT purchases bar codes in bulk from ID Labels which keeps track of the numbering to make sure duplicates are not created.

  Computers — Supply employees with necessary up-to-date hardware for them to complete their work.

  Copiers — Copiers may be moved only by contacting all three of the following: Digital Initiatives and Information Technology, the Library Building Manager, and Campus Facilities.

  E-waste service — E-waste is electronic waste that may not be disposed through recycling or garbage services and which the Library collects from its own waste to be disposed by e-waste collection agencies. Library IT provides equipment disposal services for items no longer needed by a department (e.g., printers, computers, electronic equipment, etc.).

  Equipment loans —

  Students

  The UCLA Library and CLICC provide technology support and equipment loans to UCLA students in support of learning and research activities.

  By creating an account on the CLICC Reservations Portal, currently enrolled students can request to reserve equipment to support them while pursuing UCLA academic activities. 

  Equipment available, while supplies last, include:

  • Laptops (HP, Macbook)

  • Chromebooks

  In distributing equipment, specific course needs such as specialized applications and hardware required for assignments, will be considered.  Due to limited supplies, students may not receive their first-choice model or operating system.

  Moving and relocation — DIIT provides moving and relocation service for staff and devices from one location to another. (i.e. this includes departmental devices and staff moves)
