UCLA and the University of California are strongly committed to sustaining high standards in the protection of data assets and information technology resources that support the University’s academic, enterprise, and research operations and objectives. This category includes the Operational and Business services the Information Security team currently offers to help the university reach and exceed these objectives.

    Automated security patching Automated security updates take place on all UCLA Library computers. For Windows machines, Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) provides automatic Windows updates. Similarly, Mac computers are updated and patched centrally. The Core Operations team, part of UCLA Library Digital Initiatives & Information Technology (DIIT), is responsible for deploying and maintaining security updates.

    Windows Server Update Services Server (WSUS) UCLA Library DIIT (Digital Initiatives & Information Technology) supports and manages the repository for Microsoft's monthly Windows updates. Windows updates are automatically downloaded each month and then pushed to desktops and Windows servers.
