Duties | Under the supervision of the Theater Manager, the FTVA Theater Assistant fulfills various duties across each shift at the theater, depending on assignment and role as determined in advance by Theater Manager. During any given shift, the Theater Assistant may be tasked one of two main roles: box officer or usher. In the box office, Theater Assistant will be tasked with preparing box office operations; implementing established RSVP or ticketing protocol and distribution; answering patron queries about present and future FTVA programs; accepting new reservations and/or purchases for a current or future show; and answering questions and addressing concerns. As an usher, the Theater Assistant may be tasked with operating the main patron entrance, coordinating with the Theater Manager to open and close the lobby and/or theater to patrons. In any role during any shift, the Assistant may be tasked with various additional duties. |
Required Skills | Student theater staff are supervised directly by the Theater Manager but should be able to correctly implement procedures as trained. Professional presence and demeanor in all patron interactions required. |
