Duties | Reading Room Supervision: Monitors and assists users of rare and unique materials and communicates and enforces policies for LSC Reading Room and instruction use. Materials Paging, Re-shelving, and Queue Processing: Retrieves and re-shelves collection materials, shifts stacks areas as directed, and processes incoming materials from off-site storage. Triages materials to various holding locations based on activity. Assists in preparing instruction materials and classroom set-up. Photoduplication and Digitization Support for Patron Requests: Prepares patron-requested materials for photocopy and digitization, in accordance to directions provided by Duplication Services Coordinator and Public Services Coordinator. Photoduplicates collection material, creates invoices, prepares physical and digital materials for delivery, and conducts quality control on reproductions and digital files. |

Preferred Skills and Knowledge | Working familiarity with spoken and/or written foreign languages, esp. Latin, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Farsi. Prior experience working with rare and archival materials. |

Comments | Must be able to commit to at least three regular quarters. Must be available to work during 10th and finals week. |
