Bomgar end-user experience - Mac OS
Note
To receive remote help from DIIT via ITS Bomgar, try these steps:
- Open a web browser
- Go to https://remote.help.ucla.edu
- Enter the session key that DIIT provides and press the button Submit
- The web browser may ask if you want to allow downloads from https://remote.help.ucla.edu
- Click button Allow
- Click button Allow
- The web browser will begin to download an .app file
- Wait for the download to finish
- After download is finished, install the .app file
- Click button Open
- Wait for the install to finish. You may see the following screen during the installation
- Read the UCLA Remote Desktop Assistance Customer Agreement
- If you accept, click the radial button "I have read and agree to the terms above" and clicl button OK
- If you accept, click the radial button "I have read and agree to the terms above" and clicl button OK
- Click button Allow for the DIIT member to begin the process of trying to view your screen
- If first time allowing a DIIT member to see your screen:
- Click button Open System Preferences
- In the window Security and Privacy
- Put a check mark next to Remote Support Customer Client
- Click button Later
- Put a check mark next to Remote Support Customer Client
- Click button Open System Preferences
- To end the remote sharing connection, click the text "Stop Sharing" in the window "Remote Support Customer Client" and click button Yes
- If wished, either:
- Close the browser
- View Session Recording
- Download Session Recording
- View Chat Transcript
- Download Chat Transcript
