Bomgar end-user experience - Mac OS

Note

To receive remote help from DIIT via ITS Bomgar, try these steps:

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Go to https://remote.help.ucla.edu
  3. Enter the session key that DIIT provides and press the button Submit
  4. The web browser may ask if you want to allow downloads from https://remote.help.ucla.edu
    1. Click button Allow
  5. The web browser will begin to download an .app file
    1. Wait for the download to finish
    2. After download is finished, install the .app file
  6. Click button Open
  7. Wait for the install to finish.  You may see the following screen during the installation
  8. Read the UCLA Remote Desktop Assistance Customer Agreement
    1. If you accept, click the radial button "I have read and agree to the terms above" and clicl button OK
  9. Click button Allow for the DIIT member to begin the process of trying to view your screen
  10. If first time allowing a DIIT member to see your screen:
    1. Click button Open System Preferences
    2. In the window Security and Privacy
      1. Put a check mark next to Remote Support Customer Client
      2. Click button Later
  11. To end the remote sharing connection, click the text "Stop Sharing" in the window "Remote Support Customer Client" and click button Yes
  12. If wished, either:
    1. Close the browser
    2. View Session Recording
    3. Download Session Recording
    4. View Chat Transcript
    5. Download Chat Transcript
